The Richmond Autism Interagency Committee proudly presents the Richmond Autism Resource Fair. This year we are excited to provide you with a virtual experience. Join us online Saturday, November 21st at 9am. Once the fair has gone live the whole of the videos will be available for streaming and for later view.
We will feature Amythest Schaber as our Keynote speaker and will be talking about autistic burnout and masking. Amythest Schaber is a multiply disabled autistic writer and activist. Best known for their educational video series Ask an Autistic and their blog Neurowonderful, Amythest is a professional explainer-of-things and strives to build bridges between autistic folk and the non-autistic people who love them. Join Amythest at RAIC’s virtual fair on [date] for their keynote presentation “Unmasking”, which will explore masking and its role in autistic burnout, the daily balancing act of self acceptance and safety, and the multitude of ways in which the autistic experience varies between each and every autistic person.
Rebecca Farnell, RCC., is our main speaker who will be addressing caring for and being nice to yourself. Rebecca experience includes: Individuals and Couples, Children and Play Therapy, Parents and Families of Children with Special Needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Positive Discipline, Parenting Children with Special Needs, High Conflict Co Parenting, LGBTQ+, Navigating Relationships, Communication, Mindful Self Compassion.
